Excellent post as always. This article does a great job explaining why Musonius is my favorite philosopher. Socrates taught us how to question, Musonius taught us about training virtue through action. Voluntary discomfort in order to train the skills of virtue is an incredibly empowering concept that can improve anyone’s life across domains. Good stuff guys
Thank you for having me on your blog. A pleasure as always. I hope your readers enjoy and find something valuable from this writing.
Thanks for your excellent contribution Enda!

Another solid piece from the both of you. Musonius the hardened teacher of Stoicism.
Cheers John, a valuable source for sure.
A pleasant surprise in my inbox this morning. Thanks for the great start to my day.
Thanks Paul.
Thanks Allan and Enda for this. Would either of you recommend any other books to read on Musonius?
That One Should Disdain Hardships: The Teachings of a Roman Stoic
I'll second this, it's a great translation of Musonius's lectures and includes a short biography as an introduction.
Thanks guys! :-)
Enjoyed reading this Endan and the wisdom of one of the Stoics we hear less about. Great collab Allan and
Enda.
Thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed this!
