Good morning.
One of the most difficult things to come to terms with as a human is the fact of mortality.
Whether it’s our own death or that of someone close to us, we’re more inclined to avoid thinking about it until it becomes a more imminent prospect than to face and develop a comforting perspective on it.
It’s hardly surprising; we get used to being alive. Understandably, we’d like that state of affairs to continue.
Yet the fact of our eventual passing remains, and so perhaps we should follow the Stoics in trying to tame our fear of it rather than allowing that fear to encroach on the limited time we should be spending living.
