Good morning.
Moderation always sounds like a great idea in theory, but there’s no better proof of its value as a virtue than the feeling it delivers when applied.
There are so many things in the world that tempt us to indulge in them to an excessive degree.
And yet, when we give in to these temptations—and I’m thinking mainly in the domain of sensory pleasures here—we tend to feel only a very brief delight, followed by a dulling of the senses as our indulgence continues.
